As much as I look forward to putting on makeup and heading out of the house, it bores me to death to remove it especially if it's late night. This carelessness costed me and as time passed I ended up having lots of breakouts. The damage has already been done because it's been more than 2 years already and I am still fighting acne.
Now that I've learnt a lesson, I make it a point to remove my makeup properly before hitting bed. Also, there's no better feeling than waking up with a clean face. So, here's an easy way to remove makeup quickly and effectively and hardly takes few minutes.
Keep reading to know how....
There are lot of makeup removers available in the market like Cleansing milk, Wipes, pads, oils, bi-phase makeup remover etc but according to me this is the best way to remove makeup without taking much time. Also, it doesn't irritate my skin or sting my eyes.
Products Required
1. Any Oil ~ Almond, Coconut, Olive. Avoid using castor oil as its quite heavy.
2. Waterproof makeup remover to remove lipstick.
3. Cotton pads The Body Shop) or balls
Step 1 ~ Take a little Bi-phase makeup remover on your cotton pad and gently press it on your lips and remove the lipstick.
Mostly my eye makeup is pretty heavy. I love wearing thick kajal and eyeliner with 2 coats of mascara and it's pretty tough to remove the kajal completely. So, I go with my eyes first.
Step 2 ~ Take a little bit of oil on your palm and apply it around your eyes with the help of your fingers. Now gently massage the oil around the eyes until you look like a PANDA :P
Step 3 ~ Now take a little bit more oil and massage your face with it. Don't forget the neck. Keep in mind not to let the oil sit on your face for long as it may clog your pores.
Step 4 ~ Dip a cotton pad or two if required, in warm water, squeeze out the excess and go all over your face and neck removing the oil and makeup with it.
You will see every bit of makeup ~ even the stubborn mascara and kajal, has come off and your face will look pretty clean. I prefer washing my face with a mild cleanser after that, to get rid of remaining oil or dirt. Use a good toner or rose water, apply some Night cream/ Serum/ Sleeping mask/ Oil anything you prefer and have a good night sleep.
So, thats how I remove my makeup. Do let me know your routine in the comments below.
