Baby Scrapbook: The Making

Hi all.
Today I wanted to share with you all something not related to makeup or fashion. Something which interests me apart from blogging. I am talking about "SCRAP-BOOKING".
The idea of making a scrapbook came to me, when I was pregnant with Sanchi. At first I got a ready made scrapbook from Archies Gallery but later I realized that I wanted to make something myself. And hence, the online search started.


Unfortunately, you will not be able to find much of the scrap-booking stuff in stores or online here in India.  We don't have a store out here in Siliguri (if you have any store out there in mind do let me know). International online stores are droll worth but the customs and the shipping charges are the worst enemy.

Since this was my first time, I had no idea from where or how to start, I mean the papers, embellishments, stamping, paper cutter etc( you need a lot of stuffs and the variety is never ending ). To be on the safer side, I kept on searching for sites/people familiar with this field.
After many days of my research online, one day I bumped into Vaibhavi who puts up in Pune. She designed the layouts of few pages of my scrapbook and also gave me a brief idea about the whole thing. Later I decided to take over.

The above layout with few embellishments like the buttons and the flower. also the stamping(new born) was done by her.I turned the page upside down( the white thing was supposed to be at the bottom ), reshuffled the title and added few more stuffs to it.

The best things I like in this page are the pram ,the lace and also the "my little angel" sticker(see the first picture).. Aren't they beautiful??

Here, I cut the polka dots cardstock into triangles and also the numbers.

Later I added the self-made border to the pictures.


This is the end result but the journaling is yet to be done( I have decided to attach a printout ). The whole thing looks really beautiful actually and I am really happy with my work. Hope you guys like it and do let me know your feedback.
