FabIndia Haldi Chandan Mud Pack: Review

Hi all,

I had got this product long time back( see my haul HERE ) and more then me, my hubby is obsessed with it. :)

Yes, you heard me right! Whenever, at night , he gets time, he applies this face pack on his face to scare me. "giggles".

I so wanted to write a review on this a long time ago but lazy me but finally I managed to get my self ready to pen down my views on it.

♥WHAT IT CLAIMS♥

This pack containing turmeric extract and sandalwood fragrance has mutlani mitti as a base and helps clear the skin. Frequent usage over a period of time enhances complexion.

♥INGREDIENTS♥

Purified Water, Multani Mitti, Kaolin, Papain Powder, Sodium Lauryl Ether Sulphate, Cetostearyl Alcohol, Isopropyl Palmitate, Glycerine, Calamine, Phenoxyethanol, Imid Urea, Methyl Paraben, Propyl Paraben, Turmeric Extract, Almond Oil, Sandalwood Fragrance.

♥DIRECTIONS FOR USE♥

Apply directly on face and neck in upward strokes. Keep till dry and then wash. Close the lid tightly after use.

♥MY EXPERIENCE♥

They say that "first impression is the last impression" and its first impression on me was awesome. I mean it smells so good, fresh, of sandalwood, multani mitti. The first time I applied it on my face, I started panicking because whole of my face started to tickle and burn a little. I thought I would end up with bad rashes all over my face but the tickle started to fade away.

I usually take off my face pack by wetting my face and gentling rubbing the pack in circular motion with my fingers. Later I wash my face properly and pat it dry followed by applying a toner and a light moisturizer.

♥WHAT I LIKE♥

• After the use of this face pack, my skin feels really fresh and clean.
• Its less oily ( I have a combination skin).
• The way it smells.
• I have been applying it to my pimples(rarely get them) and pimple scars( I have these stubborn pimple marks on the left side of my cheek which are not ready to leave me. lol) and they are beginning to fade slowly.
• Ready to use.
• Its got an inner lid(not shown in the pictures), which keeps the pack from drying.

♥WHAT I DISLIKE♥

• I wish it was in a tube form, jar makes it quite messy since I have long nails and I have to use a wooden spoon(shown in the picture) to take it out.
• May not suit people with dry skin.
• The glow it gives last only for sometime.

♥FINAL VERDICT♥

You cannot expect an overnight miracle OBVIOUSLY!, but this product does help in clearing up the skin with time and patience. With a price like this, I think one should definitely give it a try. Also girls with no patience at all STAY AWAY. lol..
